Start wherever you are and start small.

Monsieur Bongo , the drain man, arrives with his camera that checks blocked pipes. He's here to look for the source of the water that continues to trickle into the basement and rise up through the walls . Bob and Sophie are very taken with Monsieur Bongo's less than pristine overalls. Bob has a look on his face that says '' I don't mean to be rude but you smell lovely ".

After two hours of sending the camera down various pipes and outlets Monsieur Bongo announces that the overflow pipe is blocked.  '' You have a very strong buildup M'Ongoose ". He then, as is the habit in these parts when speaking to foreigners, repeats himself. '' A very strong buildup indeed ". Monsieur Bongo promises to send on an estimate for dealing with the buildup.  ' Can you do it quickly ? ' I ask. '' Oh yes " replies Monsieur Bongo with studied imprecision.

After their meeting with Monsieur Bongo both pups get thoroughly groomed. They then spend the rest of the afternoon sitting attentively in the middle of the kitchen floor while 'the font' makes Bolognaise sauce.

The post lady arrives at the front door to say that two packages have come from America. '' I didn't know you were back. I'll bring them round tomorrow ". The post lady seems less than happy that Bob and Sophie have arrived. They, however , are delighted to see her.

Have they started responding to their names yet?

Yes. They've also started to demonstrate they have mouths full of razor sharp little teeth. When Bob gets too boisterous Sophie gives him a good bite on the end of his tail . Who ever knew you could spend so much time laughing ?

I knew it wouldn't.t take those two smart pups long to identify the font's kitchen as the centre of gravity in the ROF!
Cheers, Gail.

They are looking so bonnie and very much at home. Great pictures. I love Bobs punk tuft on the top of his head.
Now that I am thinking Bolognaise sauce means Merlin will start drooling shortly.
Have a great day...how can you not with those two!

Great pictures, Sophie biting Bob - still thinking of Wilfie - but I am sure there are big smiles in dog heaven too. Thanks for sharing. Love from Susanne, Daisy, Kiri and Foxiie - I am on a farewell journey to my oldest - ailing health... your blog prepared me, but you are really never prepared...

Welcome home! They are so gorgeous and clearly extremely clever. They look very much at home already, especially in the kitchen!

So Bob is the bookworm? Or is he checking for the recipe for the Bolognaise sauce in a cookbook?
Angus it appears they have grown since yesterday's photos....what on earth are you feeding them? I think I detect some sauce around those mouths....smile.
They look so much at home and happy.
I pray that Monsieur Bongo comes back in a timely manner and clears the overflow. My washing machine outflow was flooding my washroom a few weeks ago, and thankfully my plumbing runs on the outside of the house. The plumber unscrewed an end joint, and stuck the hose in and turned it on full blast and that took care of the problem. Didn't charge me. I hope your problem does not become too costly.

Sophie is my kinda girl.

So much for the pups not being properly socialized or shy...
We know Wilf and Digby were called the "boys". Have you a name for the new pair yet?

Ahh the puppy teeth! So cute when they are not fastened to your clothing after a surprise attack. The Kidz will probably spend a lot of time helping around the Farmhouse. Helping with the cooking, cleaning, assisting repair/remodeling and providing security and laughter. I'm eager for when you take them to town for the croissant in the a.m.

I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before Bob and Sophie figure out the finer things in life like Bolognaise sauce and Jaffa cakes.

Thanks for this fine send-off on my way to my night shift: be good, Bob and Sophie (hehe)..

So cute! I am trying to work out what size they are (e.g. height of your skirting or their approximate weight in comparison to my 33 kg Golden Retrievers). Some photos Bob and Sophie look big and others photos they appear so small.

Kari above asked what you and "The Font" are going to call them (since Wilf and Digby were "The Boyz"). Perhaps these two are "the Wee-uns (weens)" in reference to your Scottish background, not their first night hallway puddles!

Bongo? Really?

I dread to think what the fragrances that infatuated Bob so much might be, given Mr Bongo's profession.

So cute how Bob has a big black patch smack bam on his bottom. Hadn't noticed that before. Think that is Bob anyway.

Well, I'm guessing his pants do smell fascinating! I hope he returns before they celebrate their first birthday!

We're praying he returns this week. Still having huge problems on commenting on your blog - Get a screen that says system fault. Been like that for a month now. Is it just the link with Telecom France ?
