Making the beginning is one third of the work .

The pups spend their first month getting to know their new family.

The second month is spent working out how to spend every possible waking moment with their new best friends.

3.07 am Bob is woken from his sleep by heavy rain lashing against the window. He decides that as he's awake it would be a great idea for the whole family to get up and do something exciting together . That head back ' wo-oo-oo-oo-of ' yell of joy that PON owners get to know only too well. How can such small dogs make such an ear rending hullaballoo ?

' The font ' asks if I'm going to get up and see to 'my' dog. After ten minutes Bob falls back asleep. All puppies finally learn that excitement sometimes has to wait.

They get a handful of cake crumbs at the bakers this morning.

Thank you for reminding me that there are some things I don't miss. 3:00AM is one of them :)

We all knew that BOB was "your" dog - the ownership cemented firmly in place following the visit to the barbers. The photos of BOB today are oh-so-charming. SOPHIE seems to be missing from today's photos..........perhaps she is still firmly in place in front of the oven? Videos all working today - thank you ANGUS. From the
Westcoast of Canada.

No. That's Sophie standing by the rip-off pots that were bought from the local garden centre . You can see the glazing ( and a handle ) that fell off during their first winter on the deck. Sophie slept through Bob's howling .

Of course! I didn't look close enough at her coloring. And I have no doubt that she slept through BOB's howling........she needs all her energy for garden mischief at daybreak. Thanks again ANGUS for all the fun, and in sharing your wonderful new family with us. From a very brand-loyal Scottish Terrier household - totally smitten with your new PONS! EDENA

Who's dog will Sophie be when she misbehaves? Or is she too smart to get into trouble? Look sweet and blame it on the big brother? Am I right in thinking that none of the Cost Centres is female?
Cheers,
Gail.
Ps do you know the birth order of the pups?

I suspect this is the same sound that Merlin makes when the phone rings. Once answered, he trots off to collect a ball and drops it at my feet. His way of greeting the caller.
Beautiful close-up of Bob.

That made me chuckle!
Lulu is quite definitely "my dog" when she's up to no good , and "his dog" when she's behaving perfectly and charming the socks off everyone, especially the French, most of whom have never seen a standard poodle before! Nick positively glows with pride when they declare her to be beautiful and disowns her immediately when she suddenly does something less ladylike in front of them!

Me thinks 3.07am is a good time to be awake...smile.
I'm so happy all the videos are up and working today....what fun they're having frolicking with each other.
Angus, those pastries are killing me.
For the record, we already know that Bob is "your" dog..hahahaha.

Where I live rain would be good. A Pon would be even better!

Kuster still thinks we all need to be up at 4:00 am. I ignore him, but hubby indulges him! He's in for a rude awakening if he's ever the one left here with me and hubby goes somewhere without him.

Sophie is such a good girl to sleep through Bob's excited early early morning call to arms!!

At 3 AM all dogs, cats, parrots etc. belong to someone else. Unless one lives alone, then you tell them they'll soon belong to someone else. Sophie is looking particularly adorable today.

The baked items look heavenly! I can almost smell and taste them. Those macarons! Licorice! Can't believe it!

I was looking back through my blog of May 2010 posts, and came across the one where I'd mentioned the passing of your beloved Digby, exactly 3 years ago today--Has it really been 3 years? At such a sad time then, it's good to know that your home is now and still full of laughter and the antics of 2 PON's (at any hour of the day or night) who have captured the hearts of so many like me.

Angus said...

Yes. 3 years since Digby went and nearly a year since his brother joined him. Having these two with their identical mannerisms is proof that there is such a thing as the circle of life ! Laughter can't be kept down.

Oooo yes that howling... sounds like something utterly not of this world when heard in the middle of the night; Being new to such things - with a hound puppy in the house, it really gives you the heebeegeebee's! Good on yer Sophie - you keep your head down lass.

Seeing Sophie by more pots gave me pause and wonder at how long they would last in place or with dirt!

Funny how the ownership changes depending on the time of day. We are guilty of that as well. A quick poke to the ribs to awaken the snoring giant to see to the dogs - at whatever time of night it may be. During the day - they are on my watch. Love it!

The video of little rolling around pups made my day!
