I am part of all that I have met.
To the hardware store in search of a miracle substance to remove insulating foam from car seats. While ' the font ' joins the chain smoking builders waiting for the store to open, Angus takes the PON duo for a walk in the car park.
Bob and Sophie are being lifted back into the car when a little Renault draws up. Out gets a man in black trousers and a black shirt with white cuffs and collar. Chicago gangster style meets France Profonde. The shirt is unbuttoned lower than good taste would dictate. Two buttons lower. He gets out of the car opens up the trunk and lifts out a cat. He attaches a lead to the cats collar and walks off with it trotting beside him into the shopping centre.
Ten minutes later he returns to the car and takes out a stainless steel bowl and a can of Coke. He pours the Coke into the bowl and puts it in front of the cat. The cat slurps happily away. He then takes out a plastic bottle of water and washes the cats back and face. Cat is then lifted back into the little Renault and they drive off.
This is interesting on so many levels. Whoever knew that cats like Coke ? Whoever knew there is no magic substance to remove insulating foam from car seats ?
