Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

Armistice Day. A national holiday in France. The mayor atop  a set of stepladders fixing flags to the front of the war memorial. '' Bonjour M'Ongoose. Bonjour Bhub ". Bhub responds with an enthusiastic whohoohoof of greeting quite disproportionate to the gentleness of our surroundings.

Bhub is in 'the fonts' bad books. Yesterday mornings walk round the lake was a disaster. Or rather Bhub thought yesterdays walk was a triumph. The Sunday morning fisherman who saw a small black and white bear fish a trout out of his bucket, wave it around in the air and then swallow it whole, was less sure. Bucket to stomach in ten seconds. '' Two hours it took me to catch that ! " he says with what minimum of good grace he can muster. 'The font' apologizes profusely and ( lamely ) offers to buy him a new fish. This elicits a grunt. The atmosphere round the lake turns chilly. Bob returns home with a wet muzzle and a look that cries out ' this boy done good '.

Apologies for those who commented when this post was firs put on the screen at eight this morning. For some reason Firefox has decided to delete it during the course of the morning. The second time this has happened.Rewritten from memory.

Bob does seem to have a very happy smiley face this morning
And when Bob tells Sophie, she'll be demanding a trip to the trout farm, assuming she's still taking the appetite increasing medication ?

Bhub, I don't care what you do, I love you to bits.....bet that fresh trout was to die for....
What a story to tell his sister about the big one that didn't get away!
I couldn't get in previously to comment, but it seems to have cleared up now. Firefox at it again....it's giving me grief here too.

Your boy indeed did well! Trout is yummy, especially with the head still intact! No kisses for Bhub but lots of laughing from his audience!

Let's hope he doesn't start to pass wind in the house! Do they sell Febreze freshener in France?

Bhub is becoming an expert at getting his owners into trouble. His adorable puppiness can't let him get away with things forever !!
