Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.
Six thirty am. I open the door to let the little angels out. Bob, head down, powers off silently into the pre-dawn darkness. No lingering, no hesitation. He has important things to do. A garden to guard, squirrels to chase, trees to christen. Sophie follows him out. As she leaves the house she looks up at the moon and lets out an ear drum shattering whoop of joy. The best day ever awaits her. I wonder if the suddenly wakened villagers share her enthusiasm.
Normal service resumed at the cafe under the arcades . Sophie demolishes her illicit half croissant in record time and tuns to help Bob finish his. A look on her face that says " I told you this was going to be the best day ever ". Joie de vivre indeed.
