Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.

Down to the cafe under the arcades with Bob and Sophie. The roast chicken lady has returned after three weeks away in hospital. This morning the locals and their dogs are lined up to welcome her back. Sophie is in one of her exceedingly talkative moods so we hurry past two Jack Russells, a Labrador and a Terrier.

The Moroccan basket men have also returned. They've brought with them the new seasons collection of woven shopping baskets from Marrakesh. Their sunny presence another sign that France profonde is stirring into some semblance of activity after the long winter.

Bob swallows his portion of the mornings illicit half croissant in one. He then turns towards the piece that his sister has only partially eaten. One of her icy  stares makes him think better of it. He lets out a sigh while she slowly and teasingly finishes off her remaining sliver of pastry.

Here's an interesting link to an article about How the Blind Dream.

So nice to hear of spring while still in the grip of the final? winter storm here in the US.

So I'm discovering from all yesterdays unexpected comments about snow.

Bob and Sophie's behaviour with their respective half croissants reminds me of childhood competitions with my brother to see who could eat their ice cream cone the slowest!
Cheers, Gail.

and ice, too, in places that should have daffodils by now. So nice to see all those straw shopping baskets -- I'm still using one purchased a zillion years ago in Mallorca, and they make me think of warmer days.

I hope the roast-chicken lady is well.

Yeah, we thought of Bertie in that first one, but then, Bertie is younger and fitter.....

We're disappointed that there wasn't some illicit chicken skin.....just croissants.

XXXOOO Bella & Roxy

SHE used to teach blind students. One said, "People ask me if I dream in colour, but I just dream normally."

How do you get two PONs past the roast chicken lady ?

My father can never remember his dreams so I can't tell you if blindness has made a difference.

I wouldn't be able to hurry past those baskets in any weather -- Did you know we had snow here in the US yesterday? (I'm joking, I read all of yesterday's comments this morning).

But it is an interesting article about the blind--Reminded me of what my brother's wife, who is hearing-impaired told me about her dreams.

Sophie is truly a terror at heart isn't she.....I can see her eating her sliver of croissant extra slowly just to tease poor brother Bob....I love her.
The article made interesting reading.

I'm glad Spring arrived somewhere. It sure isn't making an appearance here.

That article was pretty interesting. I wonder if the people who reported things from the other senses were more or less aware of them because of their sightedness or blindness.

Nose ? Clean ?

It's bad enough steering them past the stall of the chicken lady without them discovering that she's the source of roast chicken !
