Everything is magic until it becomes routine.

A group of Czech pilgrims click-clack down the lane at first light. We know they're Czech pilgrims because a large green Mercedes van with a hand printed sign saying '' Praha - Santiago di Compostella 2014 "  slowly follows on behind . The pilgrims make happy cooing noises as they pass . Sophie yelps in frustration . Bob, ever the serious one, sits on his stump seat and stares.

Time to open up the cellar to stow away the pottery bought at the village fair . A stoneware orange juice squeezer ( '' why ever did you buy that ? " ) a collection of floral breakfast cups and a large white ceramic platter are placed next to accumulated earthenware mugs and olive oil bowls. In a thousand years time archaeologists excavating The Rickety Old Farmhouse will have a field day.  Bob and Sophie love the cellar. It's dark and full of spiders and supposedly out of bounds. Life when you're an eighteen month old PON is magical.

I have to say "you bought THAT?" was also my immediate reaction to the photo of the orange squeezer….
Cheers, Gail.

I was just saying to myself how much I liked and could use the lemon juicer.

I do enjoy a bit of stoneware, new or vintage. My 3 caves are now somewhat reminiscent of Hogwarts Room of Requirement.

Is that for adding lemon to your tea?

Ever thought of setting up your own pottery stall?

The white plate with the blue dabs doesn't look bad. You could use it for serving or put it under plants.

Does anyone else buy at this pottery exhibit?

I think it's great that you're supporting the local artists, and future archaeologists!

Can we bid on the pottery? Maybe bob would bring it to NC? Guess I'd have to have the high bid...

Okay so now we're bidding on the pottery items....what a great idea.
Angus you can take photos of everything and we can all bid....it will clear your cellar out, and I'm sure that will make the Font very happy.
