Feigned deafness.

It rains all day. Bob and Sophie go stir crazy. So do their owners. Nothing quite so sanity taxing as that mix of energetic dogs and a protracted downpour.

In the evening they settle down for some serious rug surfing and touch rugby. They have a new foam rubber rugby ball. Bob instinctively knows not to chew it. Sophie doesn't. Game time comes to an end when Sophie disappears under a bed with the foam rubber rugby ball. She feigns deafness when called. The ball has lasted sixteen minutes before being shredded. Bob emits a loud ' humph ' of frustration .

16 minutes is good going for a foam ball. When Merlin has reduced the ball to a satisfying marble size, he will squirrel away in his bed as many of the bits that he can for lean times (as if) before I can confiscate them!

Todd's new favorite (rubber) ball, just like the previous ones from months ago have all stayed intact. I've thought of sending you one, but I have a feeling that even though they are Scottie-proof, they probably aren't Sophie proof!

Yes, happens every time. The Grand-dogs love the challenge of where's the stuffing? Only an alligator toy made it for a few months. I think it was made by NASA.
I love every morning with coffee checking in on the dynamic duo.
The rickety old farmhouse is stunning.
