Lampreys.

Aude finishes painting the kitchen. She takes down the scaffolding.Bob explores the empty space. He is unimpressed.

The fishmonger has just had a delivery of fresh lampreys. They're still breathing. She wonders if we want any. We politely decline.

The first local strawberries of the season. Four days later than last year. Something about the Gariguettes that makes them stand out. A slight savoury flavour that complements the sweetness. For the next three months they will be a twice a day staple.

No builders, no electricians, no plumbers, no kitchen fitters. Perhaps next week ? The electricians emmenthal flavoured crisps missed. Although there's no wind Bob and Sophie manage to end their day looking windswept. In fact Sophie ends up looking as though she's walked through a typhoon. That's what ferreting for moles will do to a girls hair.

The fish counter in the local supermarket has consignments of live lobsters, with their claws taped together. It's somewhat unnerving to catch them, out of the corner of your eye, making steady progress down the ice towards you!
The empty kitchen looks immaculate, and surely a space worthy of the beautiful new fittings that Red Trousers and his merry men have promised you by Easter. Angus, we all await photographs of the transformation!
The angelic duo seem to be waiting patiently too, but perhaps it's for more emmenthal crisps?

Girls who ferret for moles don't care what their hair looks like.

Bertie approves of the mole ferreting look. I am more attracted by those strawberries. Hopefully the emmental crisps, and their owner, will reappear before too long.
Cheers! Gail.

Yes, perhaps next week the ROF will be invaded by workers again....keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

The strawberries! Heavenly! I bought a small basket from the grocer and all I can say for them is they are an attractive red coloured substance.
No prissy girl, Sophie is all about adventure!

Ferreting for moles sounds like great fun - much better than having one's hair brushed!
Don't worry about the kitchen - Easter is two whole weeks away - there's plenty of time!

Strawberries, messy and windswept hair like Sophie's, I know what to do with, but lampreys, I wouldn't have a clue.
