Shred the bubble wrap.

A day for playing Throw the Furry Fox. The PONs employ their '' What do you mean you're busy ?" stare. It works.

Sophie chases blackbirds round the orchard , digs for moles, paddles in the stream  and then sunbathes on the wooden garden table. She drapes her mud stained rear paws decorously over the side. Film starlet style.

First 'The Fonts'  computer gives up the ghost, then the microwave, then the kettle. Angus orders a new kettle. It's delivered within three days. The nice young lady at the mail order company suggests a number of other 'must have' household gadgets to add to the shipment. Angus says yes to all of them . Nothing like the line " They're extremely popular this year but I think we've got one left in stock " to clinch a deal.

'The Font' unpacks a 'Stair Tidy Tote' and expresses surprise. Or more precisely 'The Font' says '' Goodness! Who would have thought we'd ever need one of these ? ". Indeed . The 'hanging' storage solution  ( ' no home is complete without one' ) and the dish that absorbs used fat   ( 'never face blocked drains again' ) are unpacked in silence.

Bob and Sophie shred the bubble wrap. This alone qualifies it as the best day ever.

Oh dear Angus, it sounds as though might be easily persuaded when it comes to ordering on line ! Perhaps you can store the Christmas tree lights, and a spare Furry Fox, in the stair tidy?
Shredded bubble wrap - now that is the best day ever !

Oh dear. Another victim of Lakeland?

A treasure trove of things you never knew existed or that you desperately needed. However, they do ship quickly and at a reasonable price to France.

Nothing spreads around the house as quickly as shredded bubble wrap !

I would think that tidied things in the Stair Tidy Tote would be easy to redistribute. The nice people at Lakeland might like to be advised that a dog owner version with a small mesh cage could be a winner.

Perhaps the Font has seen these stair baskets/totes in the homes of persons of a certain age that don't bounce up and down stairs like they used to, reserving the effort to one or two times a day. Let us know if it ends up as Pon chew.

Out in the garden too, if you leave the door open !

Well, that's one thing we won't be needing - we live in a bungalow !

Yes. The BIG kind. It 'pops' delightfully.

I fear it will soon be 'stored' in the cellar.

INDEED !

Don't let that stop you.

I have a stair basket, which is probably the precursor of your stair tidy, and is has proven to be quite useful. Try it for a while, you may like it.

Other than the kettle, I've never heard of the things you've ordered. I must be out of the loop. For that, I am glad.

I have discovered when you have an item in the kitchen give up the ghost, it is imperative to remove it at once! Otherwise you run the risk of an entire kitchen epidemic.

I've gotten roped into buying something "extra" from a sales person using that line more times than I can count-- It's easier to do when I'm ordering for my office and using the Doctor's credit card!

PS: Speaking of parcels, I hope that the package I mailed a week before Christmas will arrive at the ROF.
