Not prepared for.

The workmen have been busy painting the new zebra crossing.

Bob and his master both agree that this is a disproportionate traffic calming addition for a village of 67 inhabitants.

The PONs are loaded in the car and driven to the little market town. We have found a new dog friendly cafe.
Perhaps a bit too dog friendly. Sophie lets a Spaniel and a shaggy mutt know that she's a Princess and does not want to make their acquaintance. We quickly drink our coffees and leave before there is a 'diva' moment.

The circus is back in town. It's here for 5 nights. The PONs discover that real live elephants have recently been out for their morning constitutional. This is a dog walking hazard their owners were not prepared for.

Sophie is 'hurried' along before her urge to 'recycle' gets the better of her.

Wow Sophie, a bonanza recycling opportunity for sure!

I have to agree Angus, that zebra crossing is far too much, and it spoils the charm of the village centre. Not really the thing to put in front of the church.
Sophie and the thought of her recycling elephants...er... "left behinds" (to be polite) - oh dear !

Obviously there is a huge influx of pedestrians in your little village who need a zebra crossing. Crazy!!!

A circus too - how exciting in your little corner of France.

We in our village have three newly painted zebra Xings but unfortunately not one of them is where people cross the road. Sometimes you just wish that a little more thought would go into these improvements.

That massive clown head is incredibly unsettling...

The zebra crossing certainly adds a jarring note to the village, but it does provide an interesting background for Bob's picture.

Your zebra crossing clearly means business. It seems to have shark's teeth.

Perhaps you need an elephant crossing??

Good gracious, it's a toothy looking ting. Looks like a shark walk as Emm said. Rather overpowering.

Thumbs down for any live animals in circuses. The French are famously are behind the times with this one.
