Just in time.

It rains all day.

Sophie returns from her morning walk with that high humidity 'look '. She opts to stay and doze in the back of the car.

The roses have all come into bloom at once. Just in time to be flattened by the storms.

Bob watches as 'The Font' cuts three garden trug loads of blooms to fill flower bricks.  It's difficult to determine whether The Rickety Old Farmhouse now smells more of damp dog or of rose scent. Damp dog wins the day.

A parcel arrives with the lunchtime post. The joys of Internet shopping. Salt from Australia. Fancy packaging but a product that must be pure profit.

Chicken for dinner. The PONs fall happily asleep. Can there be any better way to end a day than having chicken and broccoli with your kibbles ?

So passes a very quiet day in deepest France profonde.

Now here's a thing : http://www.politico.eu/article/the-tiny-scottish-village-that-spawned-trump/

Chicken and broccoli with kibble - what, no sausages? And was there coconut ice cream for "afters"?
Eau de damp dog always wins the day !

Salt from Australia? Not from Guérande? Camargue? Gruissan? Ile de Ré? France is not lacking in fancy salt! Was it worth it?

Damp dog usually wins. Unless it's up against Just Rolled in Rotting Fish dog of course.
Cheers, Gail.
PS Not sure I can bear to read any more about DT.

Shopping online is tons of fun...at least for me anyway...it can be addictive but I only purchase needed items that I can't source on the island.
Interesting article but like Bouncing Bertie above, I've had enough of Donald Trump.

Not even to know he hails from Lewis ?

Must be nice to live abroad and have the ability to filter out news about Mr. Trump. Here in the States we
are inundated. Actually a pleasure to read about his family history and Tong rather than the day-to-day political fights which are constantly battering us. One cannot escape The Donald these days.

Googling 'Murray River Salt' provides some interesting info. Had never heard of it before.

Oh to have so many lovely roses that actually have scent! Heaven!
Again, I think Sophie looks adorable.

Regrettably I knew that already. He made much of the Scottish connection when he wanted to build his golf course on a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Aberdeenshire.

The roses must look so pretty placed in the charming flower bricks about the farmhouse.

Now that we know where Mr. Trump comes from, we just need to figure out how to make him go away.
