The second leg.

Tuesday morning. The second leg, literally, of Sophie's path to recovery.

The family princess is up early.

A full ten minutes in the garden so a girl can do what a girls got to do.

Then it's into the back of the dog car and off to the hospital in Toulouse.

The glum look is due to the lack of breakfast rather than an awareness of what lies in store.

Angus can't help but feel sad that this young lady is about to experience the second night of her life alone. Alone is not a concept Sophie understands.

While 'The Font' drives Sophie to the hospital Bob and Angus wait for the arrival of the boiler engineer.

Those small things too unimportant for a diary but which make life, life.

Best wishes to Sophie that all goes smoothly again this time. From your reports it really does seem she's been a very good sport about the whole thing so far, so hopefully just a little bit more and then things will be back to normal. As to girls doing what they've got to do, Cherry stole and devoured a bag of spiced pecans on Sunday evening and it continues to have a remarkable effect - maybe something to keep in mind . . .

Best wishes to Sophie and to all at the Rickety Old Farmhouse. I do hope all goes well with today's surgery. Will be thinking about the dear PON as she endures this second - and hopefully last - leg operation.
Bertie sends links in solidarity.
Cheers, Gail.

My first words to our two Labs this morning were that today is Sophie's second operation. We shall spend the day hoping all goes well, not just for Sophie but for all of you at the ROF. We're sure Sophie will "endure" her night alone with the thought of a lovely breakfast tomorrow morning !
Hugs all round from us here, in a wet and cold Spain.

Aww poor girl. Still it is best to just get on with it, and get her back on her feet.

Love to all at the ROF and best wishes to both sister and brother to get through the night without
the comfort of knowing the other is near. Bob has been looking better to me, and I see that Sophie's leg has some lovely fuzz on it. Progress! They will both be "bushy-tailed" very soon!

Much earlier here in US, so hoping surgery is over and all went well with brave girl Sophie resting quietly and wondering when breakfast will be served!.....Dianne

Our love and prayers are with Sophie.
( If at all possible, the briefest update to let us all know she's out of surgery would be very much appreciated.)

Wishing Sophie's second procedure successful! Poor sweet Sophie, Alone!
Hopefully the anesthetic will help her sleep most of the night unawares!
