Due diligence.

Sophie is decidedly unhappy with her enforced idleness.

By the time she's got her harness on and has had some breakfast she's more in tune with the world.

The Mahonias in the garden alive with bees. Not just one or two but dozens. Someone hasn't told them it's the height of winter.

Off with Bob for a cross country walk. On the path a trail of molehills. Some are ignored others cause him to bury his head into the ground and start excavating maniacally. The difference between stale and fresh molehills ?

Today we visit the Holy Well and the Sacred Oak. Names that have been around for as long as there's been a village.

We pass The Very Old Farmers son talking to the mayor. He's trying to sell the cabbage patch and the old mans orchard to the village council as a car park.

On our way home there's time for Bob to look out across the valley, be told this is his Country and roll  luxuriantly in some badger poo.

It's shaping up to be an awesome day.

This afternoon we head off for our due diligence trip to the hospital. The word idiopathic enters our vocabulary.

Mlle Sophie looks extremely relaxed if a tad anxious to get going and Bob is truly luxuriating in his very special find. Bob just soldiers on.

Idiopathic ! A wonderful 'let out' for a Vet! So useful, just not so helpful!

Sophie looks so angelic - who would think she could be such a diva ! Bob's roll around in his find will be something for him to ponder upon whilst he's undergoing his due diligence. Good luck Bob !

Is that a new toy that Sophie has?
That does look like a good spot where Bob is rolling.
Good luck at the vet's.

The Very Old Farmers son an unpleasant individual I think.
I imagine Bob thinks his current perfume is fabulous.

How lovely to see Bob rolling in badger poo, living in the moment and oblivious to all the concerns about his health.

Idiopathic sounds far less scary than oncologist.

I agree!

Keeping fingers crossed. Please give Bob a hug and kiss for us. Tell him he is loved by all of his friends.

Mum knows all about "idiopathic" problems -- means medical people don't know what the heck is going on. bob looks very happy and oblivious to any problems.

"idiopathic due diligence" sounds like a useful phrase to drop into a conversation with your gentlemen friends in dark suits.
Paws remain firmly crossed.

The mahonia is very striking. The pastures don't have a very winterish look, though we too have green grass all winter. All may not be perfect but the PONS look very happy.

What a sad Sophie face. Did Bob's blood tests reveal anything helpful towards a diagnosis? Or is that what will be discussed in Toulouse? Sending hugs all around!!!

One last check in before I sign off for the night. We want Bob to be O.k. I know this sounds so childish, but Bob is the heart and soul of every good dog. He watches the flock and cares for everyone. " This is your Country" rings in our ears every day. He is such a good soul.
We wish him only the BEST... the VERY VERY BEST.
