Thrumming.

Bob is delighted to be reunited with the errant member of his flock. A lengthy Mano a Mano follows.

Sophie's greeting is more in the '' Where do you think you've been ? " style.

Don't be in any doubt that a dogs face can't speak volumes.

Normal service is finally restored over a lengthy game of throw the disemboweled lamb.

In a neighbouring village they've installed a 24/7 automatic baguette dispenser.

Mid-afternoon the asthmatic sewing machine sound of Madame Bays Wild Child voiturette can be heard thrumming along the drive. This is followed by the sound of scattering gravel as she applies the brakes. It seems our saintly Octogenarian has gone along to have her knee seen to in the local doctors surgery. Usually, during the summer, they have a locum. Madame Bay is greatly taken with the locum ' a nice young man with lovely hair and warm hands '. This year the surgery is closed for three weeks while the staff go away on their annual holidays. No arrangements have been made for a stand in doctor. It's not just a problem here. Summer closure of doctors surgeries is apparently causing real problems in both Paris and Marseille where the heat has been extreme and at a time when old folk need medical advice the most. Why they don't stagger their vacations is a mystery.

PS - The layout is throwing a wobbly this morning.

Did the PONs get to "whoosh" the airport doors?
I love Sophie's nose, it's so very different from Bob's. But I think perhaps she needs an update to her 'do again.

Good to see the flock is reunited. Maybe the French need the service I was offered as a new workplace 'perk' this week - the opportunity to consult online with a 'virtual doctor'. Cheers! Gail.

So have you tried the Baguette Dispenser. Would be interested in the dynamic duos opinion on the contents being dispensed and if they are up to scratch. Glad to see all safely reunited.

Ah, the replacement doctor. Are they all young hunks? I took my daughter to one, and afterward all she could talk about were his long eyelashes.
Does the baguette dispenser also dispense slivers of croissants? Sounds like automation gives quality of life another hit.

The thought of an automatic baguette dispenser raised a smile - a somewhat modern machine for deepest France profonde. OK, providing you don't get yesterday's stale ones I suppose.
Yes, Sophie does a marvellous "Don't mess with me mister" doesn't she !

I like the layout. It's enlarged the text. Always a good thing for those of us who may be of a certain age. Hahaha

Welcome home. Only in France would they think to auto-dispense bread. The doctor shortage is everywhere apparently. Very sad. As for the twiddling that Blogger seems to be doing...note the 'slider' to right of comments now... what does that do??? What is in the offing??? I can usually find these things out, but the noticeboards are silent. Maybe there's a locum in charge for the summer... YAM xx

Sophie’s look is priceless.
Is Furry Fox also off on holiday? It’s been ages since he has made an appearance.

Blogger was doing some strange things here last night. Somehow we think a baguette dispenser it the beginning of the end! Keep healthy during August.
