Nibbling.
At long last the weather's changing. Twelve weeks since we last saw rain. This morning high clouds are building up in the direction of Bordeaux and the Atlantic. A storm can't be far behind. The farmers are busy sowing, Bob is busy eating acorns.
The churchyard is looking very spruce after the All Souls Day. The angelic duo aren't allowed into the churchyard but they are allowed into the bakers. They get some slivers of choux pastry. Strange how they know how to sit and look adorable at certain times of the day. The bakers wife thinks they're well behaved.
We'll be taking Bob to the vet later this week. He's started to bite the long hair on his haunches. There's a small bald spot developed where he''s been nibbling away. We'll wait to see if he's still doing it when the rain comes to dampen down the pollen and dust. Sophie remains robustly healthy.
Well Bertie and I would both rather be banned from the graveyard than the bakers.
ReplyDeleteHope the vet has some useful advice about Bob's bald spot.
Cheers, Gail.
Given a choice bakers win on all counts.
DeleteYour graveyard much prettier than ours. Just one spot? Insect bite, surely. I was watching the weather last week, hoping it would hold- we're down on Sunday coming for a week- but no, it was not to be.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Meteo France we're into the rain forever time of the year. There again Meteo France is the best contraindicator yet invented.
DeleteI do hope Bob's nibbling doesn't worsen. Hopefully the cooler weather will help.
ReplyDeleteMerlins biting has greatly receded recently, since eliminating the low calorie, wheat included version of his kibbles and reintroducing the gluten-free original. My fault entirely for making assumptions, poor boy. Not that I have tried them, but I suspect they are tastier too!

Probably the warm weather. He gets almost no wheat apart from the illicit donations at the cafe or the bakers.
DeleteWhat do we see……..can it actually be……..in the last photo……….is that BOB kissing his SISTER SOPHIE? Or is he whispering something
ReplyDeleteprivate into her ear? Only the two siblings know…… Just PON-dering on the Westcoast of Canada.
Would have to say that it's amazing how the two of them enjoy each others company .
DeleteThe Bakery is so much better than a church yard. Especially if it has a generous baker.
ReplyDeleteSpot on.
DeleteOh the bakers, I would love to be let loose in there !
ReplyDelete'The font' got a mousse mandarine.
DeleteApple does that every September. We attribute it to something in the air that time of year. A few days of doggie antihistamines seems to do the trick.
ReplyDeleteThose pastry swans bring back happy memories of younger days. I'll take one! Bob and Sophie can have the wings.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Bob maybe picked up a little dermatitis at the kennel?
