An aversion to water.
Sophie has a bath.
Bob doesn't.
He hides at the back of the laurel hedge. Nothing will lure him out. Deaf to orders, oblivious to cheese. The tell tale signs of PON water aversion. After an hour his owners give up.
Bob will have a bath later today.
Amazing how wading, fishing or running through puddles is so different to a bath.
ReplyDeleteA clinical condition known to all dog owners as 'water selctivity'.
DeleteHow long can Bob hold out in the laurel hedge?
ReplyDeleteWe know that an hour is achievable. My guess is two hours max.
DeleteSCOTTISH TERRIER WINS BEST IN SHOW AT CRUFTS ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Proud, from the Westcoast of Canada!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA worthy winner. Having said that the PON girl was a starlet.
DeleteThat's definitely a 'I hope I am blending in' pose.
ReplyDeletex
The cloak of invisibility.
DeleteWhere's Bob ... do you see Bob? We don't see Bob anywhere?!?!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Yogi
ps. We think Sophie would prefer it said, she had her "Spa Treatment"
A spa treatment sums up Sophies antics at bath time !
DeleteOh no, not the dreaded baff time!
ReplyDeleteAll two year old boys - canine and human - loathe bath time. Perhaps it's something to do with shampoo ?
DeleteOh Bob my friend, it's over before you know it....stand up and take it like a man. My Mum gave me a bath yesterday too...warm water from the hose and in the back garden under the cool tree branches, it was like being at a spa.....the girls will gather at your gate if you smell good, take it from me I know.
ReplyDeleteLove, your friend Brownie.
A PON boys idea of what smells good is different from his masters.
DeleteI'm sure by the time Bob has his bath, Sophie will need another one.
ReplyDeleteSadly, you're right.
DeleteI appreciate the joy you bring each day, along with a laugh
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteDoes he go dead weight if you try and pick him up?
ReplyDeleteTurns on his back and plays dead. The playing dead would be more realistic if he didn't squeal and wriggle .
DeleteHis sister by contrast views a bath as the chance to be the undivided centre of attention.
Poor Bob, the indignity of a bath - and it's not even a year since the last one!! Don't worry, that anti-parasitic shampoo is quite attractive to certain girl dogs!
ReplyDeleteDuke is almost thirteen and he still hates having his shower....it's quite a performance to keep him from leaping out through the door!
