An aversion to water.
Sophie has a bath.
Bob doesn't. He hides at the back of the laurel hedge. Nothing will lure him out. Deaf to orders, oblivious to cheese. The tell tale signs of PON water aversion. After an hour his owners give up. Bob will have a bath later today.
Oh Bob my friend, it's over before you know it....stand up and take it like a man. My Mum gave me a bath yesterday too...warm water from the hose and in the back garden under the cool tree branches, it was like being at a spa.....the girls will gather at your gate if you smell good, take it from me I know. Love, your friend Brownie.
Turns on his back and plays dead. The playing dead would be more realistic if he didn't squeal and wriggle . His sister by contrast views a bath as the chance to be the undivided centre of attention.
Poor Bob, the indignity of a bath - and it's not even a year since the last one!! Don't worry, that anti-parasitic shampoo is quite attractive to certain girl dogs! Duke is almost thirteen and he still hates having his shower....it's quite a performance to keep him from leaping out through the door!
Amazing how wading, fishing or running through puddles is so different to a bath.
