Angelic or demonic ?
Sophie spends her evening chewing rugs. She's worked through two and has just started on a third when we find her. She turns on her back and waves her feet happily in the air. The family princess has an iconoclasts disregard for convention.
In the market square they've started to put up the Christmas lights. Where did the year go ? Bob and Sophie are intrigued. Bob christens the tyres of the scaffolders truck.
Sohpie, who needs intact rugs when they can enjoy the sight of a family princess waving her feet in the air?
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Quite right !
DeleteOh no! Could it be that she 'lost' at her recent Rug Rugby Event - and is taking revenge? Or that she was simply trying to get to that fragrant
ReplyDeleteand attractive rubber non-skid liner beneath the rug? Whatever the reason, she does not look the least bit sorry. Not the least bit. That's our girl. You know - that "shy" one. Greetings from the Westcoast of Canada.

ReplyDeleteAre you risking a Christmas Tree with the PONS this year ?

DeleteI chewed up carpet one time.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
DeleteMy cats have chewed holes in my only good carpet. Some animals just love wool...and chewing.
ReplyDeleteGuess our chewed rug can go with the chair legs with bite marks and the carpets with pee stains.
DeleteUh, let me think, Sophie? Christmas Tree? Now what is wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteOh, to heck with the Christmas Tree, Miss Sophie can do no wrong in my book!
Believe it or not, my brother and SIL have a new german shepherd puppy - whom they have named Sophie. She has chewed their front door rug. Completely. Wonder if there is a connection with the name and rug chewing?
ReplyDeleteIn the story of the Littlest Angel, didn't he nibble on his own wingtips?
ReplyDeleteI would have said that rolling on her back might have been a sign of submission, a sorry I was bad, of sorts . The whole happy leg waving thing changes things, doesn't seem to go along with that theory though.
