Overnight visitors.


Overnight the moles have been busy in the garden. Small hummocks litter the lawn. The PONs go in search of the critters. There is much excavating but the moles are long gone. The disappearance of the moles does nothing to stop the intrepid duo from digging. Digging turns out to be an extremely serious affair carried out in complete silence.


Bob, being Bob, is caught tearing up the lawn . Sophie, being Sophie , feigns surprise. She does her best " Digging ! Moi ? Surely you must be mistaken" routine. 'The Font' points out that the mud around her muzzle gives the game away.


Has anyone ever seen a kitchen chair like this ? They were / are made in America but impossible to find in Europe. If anyone knows the name of the manufacturer could they let us know ?

    Perhaps you could send Bob or Sophie over to Aberdeen to teach Bertie how to dig? He seems to have forgotten how, which is rather tragic for a terrier!

    They are called Tabouret bar stools. Quite a few floating about t'Internet; although many more chairs than stools

    They are also known as Tolix chairs, The genuine ones are manufactured in France in Autun (Bergundy)
    Lots of take- offs of the original design nowadays. Inexpensive Chinese knockoffs abound.
    Even the moles have have contributed in making Bob and Sophie's day sheer delightful. Oh, to be a PON!

    We have the same problem with digging, but Todd is really quite proud of his accomplishments. The Goldens cheer him on!

    That stool may be a classic but it looks distinctly rickety and not very comfortable. Perhaps it's designed to keep a good turnover of customers - like McDonald's chairs?
    Bob and Sophie should go out on night patrol and maybe they will catch the moles at work!
