Why ?

Why drink from a freshly filled water bowl when you can slump into an upside down position and drink from a muddy puddle under a garden table ?

Someone very brave I'd never heard of : https://twitter.com/PolishEmbassyUK/status/955104217034907648

  1. Sendler was an incredible woman. There is a DVD...about her. One of those who don't turn their backs.
Strange water seems to be an attraction here, too.

  2. It's the "additives" in a muddy puddle that make it so alluring !
The way the world is going, we shall be glad of more incredible women like Irena.

  4. Leah always prefers water marinated in leaves and twigs from outside to the fresh tap water in her bowl. What does that say about our tap water?

  5. We dog owners all know that the same holds true with the best of foods too.

I've not heard of Irena Sendler. She truly made a difference, and how wonderful that she is being remembered
..... On the total flip side, I hope what is happening in Washington is remembered when the time comes.

    2. Yes. BUT may I remind you with why & how a shutdown happened using four words: Green Eggs and Ham.

  6. Have read about Irena Sendler a few times because I love her story. She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize but lost out to Al Gore. What a shame. An article about her and a project honoring her called Life In A Jar here:

As always, love reading about your adventures with Bob and Sophie!

  8. You know there will always be fresh water in your bowl, but how exciting to find a muddy puddle of water waiting for you under a table outside!

  9. We had a cat that used to drink the water that would collect in an outdoor ashtray our friends used while over for an evening as we would not permit them to smoke in our house. Disgusting.

  10. A much missed yellow lab of my family's once drank from the gutter. But not just any gutter. In New Orleans. In the French Quarter. *shudder* No ill effects, he was fine. I am unsure how.
