This mornings post was put up and then promptly swallowed by Blogger.
Here is a brief two minute recap.
The students are in town doing things their parents definitely wouldn't approve of. Last night there was a huge pre-semester firework display accompanied by music that was so loud we could hear it five miles down the coast.
Strawberries still for sale in the greengrocers but they're getting smaller and woodier. Another couple of weeks and the season will be over.

The original post came through on my Feedly -not perfect but readable and definitely the original after seeing the summarised option…. So sorry blogger up to its tricks again! Your post reminded me of being 17 and off to a distant uni….mayhem and a lot of fun….
The girls are in shorts and skimpy tops, and the boys are in trousers/jeans and long-sleeved tops. What does that say about the young?
Last photo tugs at my heart as it reminds me of our last visit to Scotland at this time of year and seeing so many rainbows. My favorite was at the top of Bealach Na Ba - "Pass of the Cattle" and I could nearly touch it. However, and on good authority, no pot of gold was to be found. Fascinated by the young women in mini skirts and giant platform combat boots. Ah youth. Clearly, I am out of the loop.
Is youth wasted on the young?
Your last photo...WOW!
