The morning radio show informs listeners that the air is remarkably clear. Seems you can see for 70 miles. How you would measure this - or what you would do with it - is left unexplained.
Lots of fighter jets flying high and in pairs heading North. I'd usually put this down to training exercises but these days you're never entirely sure. This mornings events in Denmark and Norway are getting just a tad too close to home.
Who'd have thought Tylenol would become so controversial ?
One late flowering Poppy adds a touch of summer to the wind scoured barley field. A solitary out of season Poppy seems a hundred times brighter than its summer cousins.
A photo of a sheep arrives, suitably framed, from the photographer in Edinburgh. A blade of grass sticks out of the ewes lower jaw.
The Natural Juice Store that closed ( leaving a pile of unpaid bills on the doormat ) has reopened as a ' Fun for your feet ' novelty socks outlet. The new proprietors clearly think this must have potential. Angus looks at the socks in the window and decides he is unlikely to become a novelty sock buyer.

I love the sheep photo. My kids are big novelty sock consumers, so maybe the students or visiting parents may support the new shop? One of your links today reminded me of the worst mistake I made in designing an office set-up in Tokyo. We agreed to save money by having shared rather than individual heating and air conditioning controls, and this caused some major disputess when we had male and female lawyers in offices under a shared control - the males always wanted to set the control at 18 degrees (Brr). We also had issues with white and Asian men having shared controls. I looked today and, sure enough, there is also research to the effect that Asian men generally have a cooler body setting.
Feet don't usually have the chance to wear something cheerful, so I have several pairs of novelty socks. Reaching for the next pair of socks in the pile recently and hastily donning them, I laughed later when I saw that I was wearing a pair with Rudolph heads with sparkly red noses!

What's that Angus, not even a pair with floofy terrier-like doggies on?
So glad you bought that Herdwick face... I have many shots of various sheep coming up on my blog over the next few weeks. I went slightly 'woolly' at Westmorland Show! YAM xx
The photo of the ewe is divine. Every man needs at least one pair of frivolous, theme socks. They are so much fun when you cross your legs and display your lighthearted side. And the poppy is a nice surprise on the first day of autumn.

-- I hope they keep the name of the theater for the new bar, but they probably won't. They'll go for something golfy.
-- The sheep photo is WONDERFUL!!!
-- I like interestingly colored socks, bit not ones with figures on them. They never fit properly and, as a result, they stretch and the figures become weirdly distorted.
The routine things in life, needn't be boring, wear colorful socks. I love the sheep photo.
Josh Rogens pod cast would have had conspiracy experts warning against using forks…..
Jumping in to say that an overdose of Tylenol will kill your liver for sure and aspirin and many other meds won't. Just sayin'.
I've read your delightful blog for years and only today discovered I can comment.
Hugs!
