No doubting the top news story here today. Scotland beat Haiti 1-0 in the teams first World Cup match. It was two o'clock in the morning here when the match kicked off. Four when it ended. The small mountain of Tennants beer cans piled up outside the village hall indicate that there was a good turnout. The residents of Foxborough listening to this sung atonally lustily must be wondering if being home to a stadium is a good idea :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qW8DQzNRZyQ
This mornings weather is perfect. Warm with a smattering of cloud. Two horses gallop along the sand towards us. They've had the place to themselves but slow down as they draw abreast. The riders wave and cheerfully share the good news of the national teams victory.

A hand written letter is needed if you want to stay here which is a very Spanish touch. Getting there would require some research :https://elelevador.com/

During or since your student days, have you or "The Font" ever played golf in St Andrews, and is it a sport either of you plans to do in the future?

Managing to have one of those mornings here by the Clyde... there's a kind of magic to it after two weeks of hosepipes. Ta for the Highland Cathedral... YAM xx
We watched the match from beginning to end. The farmer's sons must have been overjoyed, as were we. We haven't visited the stadium for many years due to the difficulty factors involved and have decided we've definitely out-aged dealing with such hubbub. Much easier to have watched the match from 100 miles north in the comfort of my living room. I cannot fathom being a resident of Foxborough, no matter what event is playing.
The thrill of a lifetime for the farmboys, just as playing the old course is for many from Boston and Ann Arbor.
Delighted for the boys! Agree with your take on the artist.
Three cheers for the farm boys. I can only imagine the thrill of being there! They have memories for a lifetime! The sparse hotel El Elevador defies description. Where you find these obscure entries is something to ponder late into the morning.
Congratulations on the victory! What a thrill for the farm boys.
Congratulations to Scotland! Today's quote of the day from Blue Sky: “Scots discovering tailgating” could be a real Prometheus stealing fire moment." Japan vs. Netherlands tonight.
