I'm not sure whether these purple poppies are natural or have escaped from someones garden. They're in the golf course wild flower meadow so the green keepers must think they're kosher. The place is alive with butterflies. It seems to be a bumper year for Red Admirals.

I'm fairly sure those poppies are not native wildflowers... but they sure are pretty! YAM xx
The wildflower pictures are a joy.
Those rams do have a disgruntled look!
I filled up two weeks ago at $1.796 a litre Canadian.
JD should spend some quality time, in Europe to understand what civilization really is - or simply keep his opinions to himself. As the old saying goes, better to remain silent and have them wonder if you are fool, than to say something and confirm it."
Here, here to Travel's comment. I gather that, today, the equally egregious Secretary of Defense has been sharing his own thoughts on Europe at Normandy. It's so embarrassing. It will no doubt end, but when?? In the meantime, I found the Albanian piece fascinating.
Hear, hear to both Travel's and Lisa in France's comments. As an American who is deeply embarrassed by the buffoonery of Vance and Hegseth (to name two in the current administration) I offer an apology to all Europeans for the ignorant and foolish behavior of these two "gentlemen."
Yes, it is of course "hear, hear" - these guys are turning my brain to mush.
Mine as well. No worries. Cheers!
