All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost.
A quick trip to the garden centre for more fence posts. Sophie has again managed to get into the compost heap. She can get in but she can't get out . She sits and howls until I come and free her. There is no sign of where she might be making her entry. Bob tries to get in by throwing himself at the fence. He then, good naturedly, gives up.
Since yesterdays visit the garden centre has had a delivery of reconstituted stone garden ornaments. Seems Buddhas are a favourite in French gardens.
Half a croissant at the cafe under the arcades. The waitress stops and chats to Bob and Sophie. They each get their hair tousled. Angus once again has time to wonder if the cafe has the worlds ugliest tables.
A quick walk on top of the ridge before we get home. The sunflowers now drooping. The wheat gathered in. A hint of autumn in the morning air.
