Todays weather forecast promises a 95%+ chance of rain and 40 mph winds. Tomorrow it shifts to a 100% likelihood of 'heavy precipitation' but winds of only 20 mph. So much for the weather fronts moving. There is something almost Biblical about 40 days solid of rain.

Who the heck decided they could better nature's perfection of the rose...??!!! YAM xx
Exactly what Yamini says about those dreadful dyed roses. When I was in university, I used to work a block away from the Russian Tea Room and always enjoyed the gaudy facade. I was happy to see from your link today that they are still carrying on, as they had a lot of financial problems in the past and I thought they had probably closed.
The only times I've coloured flowers were when demonstrating osmosis to young children.
I'd skip the multi-color roses. We keep fresh flowers in the house about 50 weeks out of the year, we skip Valentines day, when prices are doubled (and mother's day weekend for the same reason.)
Oh, don't mess with Mother Nature's palette!
I can't think of the Russian Tea Room without remembering one of my favorite scenes from the movie Tootsie.
