What a week. In the UK the Epstein files have defenestrated a Prince, an ambassador who is being called traitorous and now, quite possibly, a decent but unexciting Prime Minister. In the US the consequences for the elite and discussion of the involvement of the Russian security services seem to have been rather more muted.
Another day of rain and wind. This morning the sea has worked itself into a fury and is pounding against the castle ruins. Usually we manage 15-20 thousand steps a day. Yesterday, in the brief gaps between downpours we clocked up a miserly 9 thousand and today doesn't look as if we'll manage many more. The rain is of the schizoid sort that really wants to be sleet. It artfully manages to squeeze through that small open space between the zipper on your jacket and your neck. Tonight, no matter what the weather has in store, all the bars will be packed watching Ireland play France in the opening match of the Rugby Six Nations.

I think that for £1.80 you could make a whole batch of brownies!
The photos of the sea are beautiful, although your weather sounds challenging. We are having a sunny morning, although heavy rains are expected again tonight. We have been springing leaks everywhere. As to the Epstein scandal, it seems to have taken down the head of a major law firm overnight, but overall the response in the US does seem disproportionate.

I have resigned myself to thinking that each week my grocery order will be another pound or two more than it was the previous week... The news is dismal: Willie Dalrymple and Anita Anand interviewed two Iran experts (on and expat) on their Empire podcast this week. Well worth a listen if interested in what is happening there - that written piece was harrowing.
Puts life into perspective. Meanwhile, my great conundrum is fitting in time to watch the curling (already begun yesterday) and other winter Os and the rugby...YAM xx
The weather adds to the charm of the place.
I highly recommend the Turtle Fur neck gaiter as a solution to the wind finding its way to you. I think they were originally intended as ski wear, but I use mine every time I venture out, especially during this recent cold spell with temperatures down to 0 degree F for extended periods.

I always read the posts and comments and am grateful that you have very little idea of how it is living IN this mess. Americans are barraged by the hour with the horrors of living here, with the government and courts run totally by these disgusting deviants. It is soul crushing in every way. We can call our reps, march and donate as much as we can but help is needed. An influx of outside leaders calling for the regime to step down would be welcome. I am looking at you Europe, also Pope Leo as well as the leaders of other faiths. I would like to see priests with the protesters as well as preaching resistance and offering assistance. "They" control all here and we are told that T is itching to declare martial law which will hinder us more and stop elections.
The push to make things come to a head has to come soon. Voting looks like it will be suspended. We know that the system has been tampered with for several years.
Travel here should be banned including heads of state. MOVE the FIFA games. Cancel King Charles' visit. Nuremburg style trials should be LOUDLY set up to be ready soon for all who participate. Letters should be sent to the US persons responsible telling them that the world is watching and justice will be served. That alone may help stop ICE agents from murdering.
The state of NH is currently welcoming a new ICE "concentration camp" about an hour away. The governor is a T suck-up. Citizens are fighting it tooth and nail. It is believed that it will service New England, the bluest of the blue. Also, I believe that after the quotas of brown are rounded up they will go for the Asians. Love to my friends. P
This morning’s links are fascinating. I love the Finnish artist. I’d love to get to NYC to see the display. The article on Iran was bone-chilling. The picture of the sea was thrilling. I wonder if the results of the dog studies will ever be made public.
