The Crib, bought in Prague in the late 1970's, is brought out of hibernation.
One of the angels has had a wing malfunction but apart from that everything is in fine fettle. The surprising replacement of Joseph by a stern looking lady in a blue dress is commented on. It has been commented on every year for the last forty five years. We are no closer to understanding who the woman in blue is or what happened to Joseph. In the middle of dinner the festive season chocolates from the new supplier are delivered by a late working courier. We thank him for venturing down an unpaved track, in the dark, to find us. " Just doing my job " he replies. The chocolates are a delight - both to look at and to taste.
The swaying is a bit distracting but the lead singer has a remarkable voice. To Boulder , Colorado for Christmas song #10 :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFjyAN9TmQI

Could it be the inn keeper's wife as midwife? So good to see the crib.
Yes the visuals a tad distracting but the singing delightful... Now to go read some of the ten... YAM xx
It's a fine version of the Little Drummer Boy. It's rather a shame when singers feel they must choreograph their performance.
The creche and sporrans are found! All is right with the world for today. Really enjoyed the article about Plunkett Fleeson (such a name) and the Little Drummer Boy singers. Sweet voices to start my morning.
A sigh of relief as the holiday may proceed once the creche appears. The sunlight lends an air of cheer to the dour ensemble. Are the chocolates as delicious as they look?
Good to hear that you've found your sporrans, Angus. Remembering the hunt for them in past years, no doubt you are relieved (as I'm sure 'The Font' is).
The 10 top discoveries of this year were interesting and I particularly liked the Scythian horses - they look remarkably modern in design, considering their age.
Those chocolates do look yummy, will there be any left by the 25th.
Angus are anybody who can give me the link for Betty’s in New York. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.
I'm afraid the Bettys we know : https://www.bettys.co.uk/cafe-tea-rooms isn't related to the restaurant in mid-town Manhattan.
