The weekends storm has swept a dozen or so lobster creels onto the rocks. The farmer has dutifully collected them from the foreshore and stacked them up so that Lob the fisherman can come and collect them later in the week. On our morning walk down the track to the beach we meet one of the Jack Russells. She is greatly taken with the creels and their scent of old lobster.
Ten seconds later 'Puppy' ( who is now an accomplished young lady ) arrives to join her elder sister. 'Puppy' has found a stick and is delighted with her find.
A black Spaniel follows. He is determined to make the stick his own. The dogs rush past us on their way towards the farmhouse. They are far too busy to acknowledge our presence. For village dogs life is good.

There is such joy in your picture of the puppy with its stick.
Nothing beats the sheer joy of dogs at play.

Glorious rendition of Oh Holy Night... and well done Edinburgh. I watched some of the Banchory Santa run the previous weekend - a little less costumey and a good deal more discotechque, but an excellent turnout. The council lady was having a ball slapping fines on every third car for non-payment of parking fees... Merry Christmas. YAM xx
That's a very fine stick that Puppy's found - no wonder the spaniel wants to take it from her!
Puppy may have met her match in that spaniel, who seems to share her enthusiasm for life. Today's music was indeed glorious. The Santas were also great, although I was puzzled by the appearance of two Jedi knights in the foreground.
Love dear Puppy and her stick. . When will anything so simple ever bring us so much joy?
Puppy and friend appear to be having a good time!
The music from Norway is subline. The Santas are amusing. I had no idea how complicated it could be to make a cup of coffeee.
The joyful faces of Puppy and Spaniel have brightened my morning along with today's Christmas music.
Loved the Santas piping! And of course any sighting of Puppy is always welcome!
Scones, for the life of me, an artistic expression of goodness for the soul. Thank you for showing them and the mince pies.
Puppies make me smile.
Major Coffee monster that I am, I found the article on coffee machines fascinating. In my books, though, nothing beats un "p'tit noir bien serré"
Puppy always puts a smile on my face!
