The morning weather bulletin starts off with the good news that sun and a high of 23C is forecast for much of Scotland . It goes on to add that the exception will be exposed North Sea coasts where sea fog and a high of 17C is likely.
I'm due at the cottage hospital for my second Shingles shot later this morning. The first one laid me low for a couple of days so 'The Font' is preparing for a replay of life with a grumpy ox. Here in the village the farmer has the irrigation on in the potato field and the local teenagers are getting everything set up for tonights England v Argentina match. This is what can best be described as a 'grudge' match par excellence.

Ta for the burst of Verdi... and here in Northumbria, it's only 12'C at the moment with the hope of something warmer as the morning progresses... Oh the irony that when I leave the west it gets its best weather! YAM xx
Good luck with the shot. My husband, who already had shingles (it was really awful), is supposed to get the vaccine now to avoid any recurrence. He is also waiting for just the right time, a/k/a procrastinating. That is indeed a beautiful Triumph.
Good luck on the vaccine. The hardtail frame on the Triumph would be a "memorable" ride on a brick or cobbled street.
Best wishes that the shot produces no side effects this time. And more nest wishes for success for the England team. The footballers look like a hardy group!
Oops….best wishes to the team!
I, too, had horrible side effects from my first shingles vaccine. Eagerly awaiting your report on the second as I hav3e not been brave enough to repeat my experience. I love the shot of the sprinkler in the potato field. And yes, beautiful Triumph!
Running on the Chariots of Fire beach.
Good luck with round 2. I've just had mine and had horrible flu pains for 24 hours followed by extreme tiredness and then 2 days of migraines.
