Tablet and chocolate.

No less that seventy one ' 50% off Black Friday ' e-mails are deleted from the inbox this morning. Judging by the tone and the volume of the offers it would seem that retailers and magazine publishers are keener than ever to separate us from our cash.  You'd almost think the economy wasn't doing as well as our leaders claim. The UK has a tax raising  budget next week which explains why so many local firms are e-mailing. What is more surprising is the wave avalanche of offers from American hotels and publishers.

We're down on the beach as the sun is rising. On the car radio we hear that Marjorie Taylor Greene is resigning.

The students are out in force this morning. What they're doing is anyones guess. I'd say they were out for a run but there's no sign of movement. Four guys and probably forty girls are standing on the shore happily shooting the breeze. A cynic might think that the guys have worked out that this is a pretty 'lucky' ratio.

We've parked the little car by the bookstore.

Inside there's quite a selection of new dog books.

Dog books are dead cert best sellers as stocking fillers.

In the farm shop Scottish Tablet and Milk Chocolate bars can be found. This must take the concept of a sugar rush to a whole new level. Angus heartily approves. I'm guessing there's nothing like Tablet and Chocolate to keep the winter winds at bay.
