The morning after

The shelf stackers in Tesco's entered enthusiastically  into the Halloween spirit. The ladies behind the information counter all sported black skeleton body stockings with faces painted to match. A special call out has to go to the young woman replenishing the pineapples who came dressed in a long black cloak underneath which was a white swimming costume to which copious amounts of blood curdling  red paint had been applied. She also wore a gold crown and yellow Crocks. Truth be known these gave her the look of a badly cast wise man in the local Christmas pageant but we keep this thought to ourselves. Halloween in my day was a quiet  occasion with dooking for apples being the highlight  but now seems to have been elevated to a major commercial celebration.

Angus goes to the bakers for a loaf but forgets the loaf and instead returns with two of these.

There was one solitary Halloween sponge cake left. It would have been churlish not to buy it.

The fancy outdoor clothing store has tartan boots in the window.

The property company near the Indian restaurant has also entered into the spirit of things. The ghouls hanging outside are looking rather bedraggled after last nights rain.

Today the weather is blustery and the students nowhere to be seen.

I'm really not sure that I could bring myself to eat that sponge cake. As to your second link, I think that I mentioned that our new car will be able to park itself?

Your insights into the practicality of this feature around French parking spaces are eagerly awaited.
