A grand unveiling.

Bob stops to look at a horse.

Then ten minutes later he stops to look at nothing in particular.

The PONs are loaded into the back of the car for a journey to the little market town. They are each given half a carrot. As I close the tailgate Bob looks up, opens his jaws and drops his carrot in front of him. Quick as a flash Sophie finishes her treat and liberates his. Ever trusting Bob can't understand what's happened to it.

A grand unveiling in the middle of town. Somehow half a dozen 13th century houses have managed to survive the round of wars and revolutions and are being restored.  This morning the scaffolding is down and we can see them in their full glory. Quite what the municipality intends to do with them remains to be seen. The relatively modern 14th and 15th century houses around are considered two a penny and slide into gentle disrepair.

The cafe in the Square deserted. Bob and Sophie settle under a table. The French huddle inside in the warmth. The foreigner and his two woolly friends are the only ones to be found outside.

A display of hookahs in the tobacconists window. France profonde is changing.

Surprise of the day. Maryland tartan ? :http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/general_assembly/ph-ac-cn-maryland-official-tartan-0117-20160117-story.html

Poor Bob, foiled by his sister again. Might it be as well to carry an extra carrot for just such an emergency?
That's a very sympathetic restoration for a house "two a penny". Hopefully it will be put to good use.
Hookahs - shall we see them festooned as an ideal Christmas gift next December?

I think Bob is just not sharing with you what he saw in that second picture. It was undoubtedly very interesting.
Toodle pip!

I believe there is tartan for most,if not all U.S. states. I was given a small purse made of the state of Arizona tartan.
Poor Bob, I hope there was something tasty for him at the cafe.

Bob and Todd both know there's always something to look and bark at.

It's good to see that those spending the state of Maryland tax dollars, are hard at work on important issues.

Such remarkably different personalities Bob and Sophie have. Our brown/white border collie Rory is also very gentle and trusting, a trait which Millie (a black Lab/greyhound mix) is always quick to exploit. Yet they remain devoted to one another.

I bet Bob was just drinking in the beautiful scenery....and let Bob know that our almost 8 month old Karma puppy liberates her sister and brother's treats ALL the time...

Your doggies are so very cute. I have a Sophie, too, and she is a little part Bichon/part something...
