Halfway measure.

Sophie is told to stay indoors while Angus gets the car. She's torn between doing what's she's told to do and making a dash for freedom. She settles for a somewhat uncomfortable halfway measure - head out of the door, body inside.

The family princess appears in the kitchen in time for breakfast. This morning she's been standing head on into the wind. It shows.

The first snow has fallen on the mountains. Too late for the peak skiing season but just in time to save Sophie's winter coat from a date with the clippers. Five snow flakes fall on us during our morning walk.

Cold weather means turbocharged PONs. They race round the garden with 'Lamb on a rope'. Their game is accompanied by snorts of joy from Bob and squeals of delight from Sophie. You'd think they'd soon tire of this game. They don't.

We dread to think what Sophie's furs would look like faced with NE Scotland conditions just now...

Sorry Sophie, but I burst out laughing when I saw the look on your face ! I think you need a new hairdresser, or a hairnet !
Our Labs may not be so much fun as the PONs, but they are easier to groom !

Sophie's fur is so funny, starting back to work with a laugh on a damp monday morning!

A late but heartfelt wish for a Happy New Year to you from NH. I do love starting my day with your wit and your wonderful pups! Tell us Angus, were you able to control your laughter when Sophie stuck her head out the door? I couldn't!

Thank you for the many smiles these delightful pictures brought! This may be my favorite picture of Sophie's fur.

I've always thought you might be exaggerating just a wee bit in descriptions of Sophie's hair. I see now how very wrong I was and often heartfelt apologies. And laughs.

Sophie's photos today have given me a good laugh...she is so adorable with that windswept hairdo...and oh my gosh that photo of her halfway in and halfway out of the door is absolutely priceless...how did you manage to take that photo with a steady hand, I would have been cracking up like I did when I saw her.
