This mornings croissant also looks as though it's having a bad day. It emerges from the oven sporting an 'S' shape . Sophie is disappointed that croissants, no matter their shape, only have two end bits.
We have a tour of the shopping centre. At this time of the morning it's deserted. Some of yesterdays shoppers have tossed unfinished burgers on the ground in front of the bins. Sophie waits until I have my back turned and then makes a headlong rush seventy or so metres to the nearest discarded Big Mac. I have to chase after her at high speed. This tells me three things. 1) Even though she'll be nine come January she can manage a youthful turn of speed when required to 2) Those titanium knees don't hold her back and 3) The level of intelligence to conceive and orchestrate malfeasance like this is quite remarkable. I guess it also shows the amazing attraction of a stale burger patty garnished with pickle.
On the way home we stop off or a second walk. Not that either of us really wants or needs one but the forecast is for more rain so we might as well enjoy the dry spell while we can.

It takes a Scot to understand the importance of making good use of dry weather window...
There have been precious few rain free hours in Aberdeen these past few days.
Impressive performance by Sophie in the 70m hamburger dash!
Could you not prise the pointy flap off of the middle to provide a little extra for a starving dog?
Dogs, like Sophie and Inca, must be two of the beings that really appreciate a badly aimed burger - the rest of us just fume that the owners didn't bother to put it in the bin!
Malfeasance - gosh Angus, that's a word I haven't heard in years!
Always pretty, even on a bad hair day.

Re the croissant crunchy chances and other shapes; a triangle would be one better than than the crescent... and a square better yet! YAM xx
Tell Sophie that Mr B tossed one of his curly croissant ends over to F this morning and it was filled with custard. (That's croissant in Ioannina for you!) Curly ends AND custard.
Custard and croissant. Sophie is over the moon with envy.
