The weather is beautiful. We make a spur of the moment decision to head down to Edinburgh for a couple of nights. It's that pre-Valentines Day time of year when 'impossible to get into' restaurants have tables and hotel prices are 'reasonable'. Tomorrow is the last day for this exhibition :https://www.nationalgalleries.org/exhibition/turner-january
We should be back on Thursday.

Have a good break - I just rec'd advance warning from SSE that there is another storm coming through for Wednesday, but you may escape it over there. Rather scary reading you have provided this post... YAM xx
What a wonderful escape. So many of your photographs are reminiscent of Turner's work.
I see one of the Scotties found a home locally.
Enjoy your break.
1,000 times more powerful than morphine . . . horror.
What a treat to see so many peaceful Turners. (I focused on them as well as the butcher's adopted Scottie and not on the newly found deadly opioids.) Enjoy your spontaneous getaway!
I am very jealous. The Turner watercolors are fantastic. Enjoy your break.
Opioids and Timberlake-Woods team very depressing.
Mmmmmm, I like apple cake,
Timber
Oh, I would love to see the Turner paintings! Have a lovely time.
Enjoy your mini-break - one of the advantages of not having a dog - you can go away at short notice!
Not impressed by the cake selection, they look rather amateurish to me, but perhaps they are very tasty?
Good to see a Scottie back again.
Safe travels, enjoy!
