First light. We have visitors. With a short, sharp yap 'Puppy' announces her arrival at the garden gate .
Elder sister soon joins her soon after. The third and eldest dog remains dozing in front of the farmers AGA. She's at that stage of life where comfort takes precedence over excitement. This morning our two companions chase pheasants, bark at the Fieldfares and are last seen pursuing a hare across the cauliflower field. After last nights rain the ground is very muddy. This doesn't bother the hare but it slows down the two Jack Russells .In town signs of Easter.
The lady who owns the haute couture shop is placing a mannequin outside her front door. This is the look St Andrean ladies will be aspiring to this season.
The two ducks who consider town to be their home continue to parade up and down outside the old Post Office.
The mallard views a motability scooter with ill disguised suspicion.

A visit from 'Puppy' is always welcome.
I love that the Lindt website says' Welcome to Switzerland's largest chocolate museum'. I am now wondering how many (smaller) chocolate museums in Switzerland are devoted to chocolate. And does anyone offer a 'Tour of Switzerland's Chocolate Museums' holiday? And if so, where do I sign up?
Cheers! Gail.
Loved the Cantril ladder article, thank you. I did exactly what it said when I thought about the question, then looked at my furry friend and upped it.

Never mind chocolate, more dogs please 🤗 I wonder what Puppy and Sis will make of Cabbage when she comes... YAM xx (from a sometimes sun, sometimes snow blattered Inverness)
Nice to see Puppy again - she always seems so confident that something wonderful is about to happen. Interesting again about the happiness rankings, as well as bird etiquette. Off today to try and find some white eggs to color for Easter, but I am not confident of success as brown eggs predominate here.
Lovely to see Puppy again.
The bird etiquette article was interesting. How little we really know about other creatures' lives.

LOL, William!!
Agree with Gail and YAM-aunty - visits from Puppy and her sister are always welcome - in the absence of a resident PON.
So much for haute couture. The St. Andrews look echoes the weather - grey and dull.
Days are definitely better with a visit from puppy and her sister.
Lisa, what about just using a layer of white first? Or were you wanting to dye them?
O loved the piece on bird communication - I'll read that to my grandson, as at 9 he's fascinated by science/natural world thing. Happy Easter to you, and all the bloody-readers.
