Golf, Gulfstreams and a Nuncio.

The red Ferrari is still parked outside the cottage by the 'T' junction. I'm guessing it will go today now that the Dunhill Golf tournament is over. Wide eyed eight year olds wander slowly by it as they head off for the school bus. A large end of tournament  fire work display last night and this morning a conveyor belt of Gulfstreams heading out over the Bay before turning West. Perhaps some of the jets  are carrying 'superstars' back to Hollywood ?

The sea a little rough today. Beyond the old life boat station spray is throwing itself skywards against the rocks. Half a dozen young deer play hide and seek between the hay bales. Puppy and her sister can be seen heading down to the shore for a swim. After a week of solid sunshine rain is forecast for later in the day.

Passing the notice board by the coffee shop I see that the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain was preaching in chapel yesterday. I have no idea what an Apostolic Nuncio does although it sounds very grand. In these Presbyterian heartlands you don't get to see a Nuncio every day.

The golf shoes on the window ledge of the pub by the fountain have been 'refreshed' for the championship.

The bakers by the auld kirk has won a prize.  I'm not sure the window display does it full justice.

What a remarkable dog :https://x.com/Rainmaker1973/status/1842826338694029762

We were going to go here from Washington on our spur of the moment trip but things conspired to stop us getting there :https://aubergeresorts.com/the-dunlin/

I really do love that golf shoe display. Not so much the apple pie display, although I would still like to try the pie.

The Dunlin looks very special.

It's certainly not what you'd expect in rural South Carolina.

Boji is indeed a remarkable dog. The apple pie display needs more pizzazz.

Sounds like you need to try a slice of the pie and share your rating with your readers.

My heart always breaks when I read about the loyal dogs who wait for their departed owners for years or like Boji repeat the complicated route he and his owner took. So happy he was adopted and taken care of.
