A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

The bird of paradise alights only on the hand that does not grasp.
Not one, but two, red squirrels run across the lawn. Bob and his sister Sophie look on in disbelief. They then give chase. The squirrels disappear safely into the upper branches of an old oak tree. Bob and Sophie practise their tree climbing skills. These prove to be non-existent.
Six am on Friday morning. The barn owl starts hooting. This is the cue for every other owl within a five mile radius to also start hooting. There are a lot of owls round here. Bob gives us his full throated " Do you know there's a barn owl out there ? " bark. Is there such a thing as a late rising dog owner ?
Later today we shall all head off to the Prefecture in the departmental capital with our notarized and translated drivers license application forms. Our fifth meeting with French motor vehicle licensing bureaucracy.

SQUIRRELS! SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Life is full of new adventures for these PONs!
Love those picture of the dynamic duo acting in concert! (And barking in concert?)
I just love these photos today.....wind blown hair and cute faces ....so adorable.
The squirrels had better not take it for granted that the PON's can't climb trees.....knowing Sophie she'll probably be the first to do so.
Fifth time is a charm.....hopefully.
Love the new windswept hairdo Sophie
Not so keen on the thought of the early mornings, especially as there'll be a 'newbie' in the not to distance future
Squirrels beware!
May the fifth time be a charm!
Is there anything cuter than the sight of Bob and Sophie standing upright side by side PONdering how to get those pesky squirrels?
puppy picture love. blog love. perfect as always ongoose.
except for the mind boggling red tape of france.
maybe it's purposely to keep people out of profonde paradise!
delightful.
Empathise with you on the French bureaucracy. Oh, the stories we all could tell! Happy late birthday to Sophie and Bob. Sophie's bouffant takes some beating!
Wonderful pictures, especially Sophie's casual, wind-swept 'do.
Dare one ask why it takes (at least) five trips to deal with people licensing?
Five times lucky? Maybe you should take the PONs--might get things done.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Great photo of them on either side of the tree
I hope that your fifth meeting with French motor vehicle licensing hasn't been as futile as the squirrel chase was!
there is no such thing as a late rising dog owner…
xoxo
Happy birthday Bob and Sophie. I think Tucker is trying to figure out how the squirrels get UP the trees.
Late rising?? Only after a long long day at doggie day care !!
The "windblown" photo makes me think of one, very similar, of Wilf.
No matter where one lives, the department of motor vehicles seems to be designed to be as troublesome as possible. Could 5th time be the charm?
