Back in two weeks.

A cat wanders into the garden as we're about to load the angelic duo into the back of the car. A high speed chase, with howling, ensues. The cat finds refuge on a beam in the barn. Sophie soon gets bored waiting for it to come down. Bob doesn't. He decides to stare it into submission. The cat doesn't move.  The family fellow is finally 'encouraged ' into the car. We are ten minutes late getting to the k-e-n-n-e-l-s.

A change of plane in London, twelve hours on a connecting flight and then we'll be half a world away. Angus finds a trip to the hotel bar is the best way of addressing jet lag.

This is the story of a wine that American Reagan served at the bicentennial state banquet for the French President.

My old dogs would say that they were in prison. I am sure that they will have a wonderful time and are in safe hands. Have a great break. We await the many stories so brilliantly told by Angus.

Have a lovely time - and one absolutely transformed - don't worry about the PONs, they will have the kennel owners eating out of their hands in no time! Our corgi would to come fit as a fiddle from going for big runs on the farm and so obedient - obviously the owners stood no nonsense, meanwhile the cat would have inveigled her way into the owners' home and out of the cattery and be ruling the roost! I might add the cat wouldn't talk to any of us for a couple of days - punishing us for leaving her!!

How wonderful that both Sophie and Bob have recovered well so that you can leave them with a degree of confidence as you enjoy your travels. Looking forward to hearing about the trip in two weeks. Meantime, I shall miss the distraction of reading about Bob and Sophie every morning - something is needed to drown out all the news about #Indyref2...
Have a great break!
Cheers, Gail.

Have a great trip. I hope you are escaping the teetotaling vegan thing, or is that why you went to the hotel bar?

I bet that after their kennels stay Bob will go straight to see that cat off.

No idea where you guys are located, other than that it's west of Toulouse. But this NY Times article about Gascony seems to be in your territory: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/15/travel/gascony-food-restaurants-france.html?src=me
It's #1 on the Most Read list today.
