At Edinburgh airport an Irish lad has flown in to marry his sweetheart. He's wearing a shiny emerald green suit with a black and white clover motif. In the space of two minutes twenty people come up and wish him well. You never travel alone when you're in a shiny emerald green suit.
Shortbread and fruit cake in the bakers windows. There is Battenberg Cake which Angus thinks is the height of sophistication and 'The Font doesn't. You can take the boy out of Scotland but ....
In the cafe where Kate and her future husband used to have morning coffee, Haggis burrito.
A pub with a humorous window decoration.
And the weather was warm and the views very Scottish.
This morning Bob pokes me with a cold wet nose at five am. Today he's not going to let me out of his sight.

After she's had breakfast and been reassured that her food supplies will continue as before Sophie seems quite unperturbed by being away. By contrast Bob is giving us a guilt inducing PON performance that would make any Shakesperian actor proud.
Flying to the whooshing doors at 2.30pm. Only regret is leaving the dog. Hers too :)
Such sunshine! And a great sense of humor everywhere. Are those frog cakes, with the big eyes?
Yes, they are frog cakes. Marzipan with a gooey filling. Almost as sophisticated as Battenberg cake.
Hari OM
Good grief - how'd you manage that weather??? YAM xx
The man in the green suit wouldn't get a second glance in Malibu😊
I wonder if the Balaka Indian restaurant is still in St Andrews? We spent may happy evenings in there shortly after we were married, which was long before haggis burritos arrived!
Sadly, no. Apparently it had a very bad review in the Scottish Sun from which it never recovered. The headline was along the lines of ' I'll nae curry back '.
Bailey Bob's human here. I have missed something. Who is Kate that would have coffee at the cafe with her future husband every morning?
Haggis Burritos?! Is nothing sacred?!
How were they?!😊
I presume "Kate" is now the Dutchess of Cambridge.
I think Angus means Kate as in Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, and her future husband Prince William second in line to the English Throne.
Is that St Andrew's Golf course?
A young couple who spent four years in a small Scottish seaside town - Kate Middleton and Prince William . Says a lot about security in Scotland.
Somehow those cakes don't look as tempting as the ones you usually show us from the baker's in your little market town in deepest France profonde.
I only ever ate the pink bits in a Battenburg cake....
Think you need to have the digestive system of a twenty year old to enjoy a haggis burrito. Sadly, Angus has got to an age where he and the burrito might not work in perfect harmony. Bob and Sophie would give them 10/10.
What about the yellow marzipan ?
Thank you both! I need feel so silly for committing such a ' four paws ' !!!
Bailey Bob - Quite understandable. You'd need to be a Scot or a keen royalist to get the reference. The reference came out of the blue without any explanation. Think you'd be keen on the haggis burritos though.
What is a Battenburg cake?
Glad you had such lovely weather, and welcome home.
yes, he would...
The hot pink travel case is a colorful complement to the shiny green suit.
This ensemble makes the red pants Angus was considering seem sedate by comparison.
Love the flower pots! As for the breakfast menu....might just stick to coffee.
The northern lights are on my bucket list. Have been ever since I saw Local Hero.
I miss Scotland and the Highlands desperately....beautiful captures!
