A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

There is none so blind as those who will not see
Courgettes of every variety in the greengrocers. This must be peak courgette season.
Gooseberries make an appearance. An acquired taste. Angus loathes them. We do however buy some red currants.
At the bakers a slightly better than average display. The pretty young lady with the upturned nose is back after her holiday. The PONs get a bowl of water and choux pastry slivers. Both Bob and Sophie are delighted that the universe is once again ploughing its determined furrow. Monday is on track to be the best day ever.
This morning we avoid the tree obstructed waterfall and turn back up the hill after passing the cows field. There are seven new calves to be welcomed into the world.
The bull rushes in the hedge rows must be eight feet high. Angus is reminded of flower arrangements done by practical and thrifty Presbyterian ladies. The sort of things that would last two possibly three seasons before the dust and Western Isles humidity did for them.
Some Scottish music to start the week : https://youtu.be/eVSf-SXrYjs

Oh thank goodness the choux pastry sliver provider has returned.
I had been quite worried that Bob and Sophie would become malnourished.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
I think your picture is of teasles, rather than bulrushes. Although both are beloved of dried flower arrangers - as is Honesty too.
The tart/cake display looks quite tempting, although I prefer to see rows and rows of little patisserie.
Don't I sound grumpy and fault findy today?!

Yes, definitely teasles. I may or may not be guilty of use of such in various arrangements... Thanks for the intro to Tide Lines. YAM xx
Malnourishment is one thing you can feel sure Bob and ( more particularly ) Sophie will never suffer from !
Teasels they are. Angus apologizes but is not big on flower recognition .
A highland band.
glad to hear your pastry friend is back.
The PON world is back on track !
As I sit here at the Vet with a dog that was sick over the weekend, I'm glad that all is well in your corner of the world.
Hope it's not Momma .
