What sweet bliss.

The move has gone well and we are once again happily ensconced in the last wee house before Denmark.

There are still signs that the painters and joiners have to come back to finish off their 'snagging' but the house is pretty much operational. 'The Font' is particularly pleased with the new 'smart' radiators which seem to blend in with the stonework.

We pace our settling in to the rhythms of a rather refreshing Poully-Fuisse and an intelligent Morgon. Nothing better than a glass or two of wine to help you deal with unpacking....or the dust the painters have created.  We are surprised to find how many sets of cutlery and china we've managed to acquire over the years. Another vigorous burst of down sizing may be required. The weather forecast calls for it to be cold and windy but it turns out to be warm and sunny. Perfect weather to try out the new range and then sit out in the garden and have dinner looking out over the sea and the soon to be removed Portaloo. Three village Jack Russells  sensing that food is available squeeze under the garden fence and join us. Two of them sit and watch us eat. The third , a four month old puppy, makes it quite clear she'd like to join us at the table.

Best of all there is sleep uninterrupted by the sound of gulls. What sweet bliss.

Home sweet home! Wishing you and the Font many many happy years, nice wines, and dogs (just visiting or adopted when the time is right) in the house you've updated to suit your tastes.

Welcome to your beautifully remodelled home. The radiator is indeed stylish - is it heated by conventional boiler or heat pump?
For a brief and mistaken moment, I was wondering what sort of a drink is an 'intelligent moron'...
Any thoughts of adopting a Jack Russell puppy?
Cheers! Gail.

So glad the move went well and you were able to celebrate in fine style.
It's times like this that you become aware of how much you've down-sized!

Sounds wonderful, and no gull nest outside the bedroom window. Best to keep it that way.

Welcome home Angus and Font! So exciting! And JRs to entertain you! Gosh Angus, your ongoing success in educating your readers with interesting/important information is formidable. Today’s article about gas vs electric vehicles is sobering to say the least and really frightening. I had NO idea and will be mulling that over for quite awhile. Thanks for posting. Liz in Oregon.

As someone who is just beginning a project, I am thrilled for you! And that first picture - beautiful sunrise with port-a-potty! It sums up the state of things!
