Love, travel, adventure, bless, and don't be sorry.

The Old Farmer is off to see a lady friend in Arles. He wanders across the lane to ask us to look after the house in his absence. '' Won't take me but five hours down the motorway. It's a fast trip ". Angus looks at the venerable Ford Transit motor home. 'Fast' is clearly a relative concept.

Another warm, sunny, day. We have lunch outside on the terrace. A reminder of the reason we left the frozen north. Bob and Sophie are in particularly talkative mood. Sophie stands on her hind legs at the front  gate barking at passing pilgrims. Bob provides a rhythmic basso profundo backing. Finally, the two of them are ordered into their pen indoors. Bob gives us his mournful ' Did I do something wrong ? ' look. Sophie gives  her ' Why have I been sent to live with music hating sociopaths ' glare.

Hmmm. December lunch on the terrace. Much though I like Scotland, you do have a point.
Cheers, Gail.

Music while you enjoyed your lunch outside on the terrace...what could be better?
I'm with Sophie on this one, "Why are you becoming a music hating sociopath?"
I love the Old Farmer's sense of adventure.
Lovely weekend to all of you.

Our little Mia has been very poorly but when she felt well enough to sit at the front door and bark we were thrilled.
So, we're with Sophie, go Sophie, bark all you like !

On days like these it is definitely warmer outside than inside our unheated old pile and lunch outside in December is very pleasant indeed.
Have a lovely day.

I've seen that same look Sophie gave you, those are the times I'm glad when they CAN'T talk!!

With the Old Farmer out of town, are you responsible for making sure the Christmas star is turned on?

The Old Farmer never ceases to amaze.
An octogenarian Jack Kerouac if ever
there was one.

Maybe you can pull the plug on the star in the farmer's absence.
(Damn squirrels!)
I suppose the old farmer's trip to
Arles is rather fast compared to his
trek to Belarus.
There was a time when Sophie was
thought to be shy, goodness!
Do you think Sophie and Bob are
using their barking to try to herd the
pilgrims?

LOL.
never thought of that. yes.
herding the pilgrims. LOL.
i'd say right on the mark. and then they get unfairly imprisoned for doing such an impressive job!

We received similar looks last night when we ordered our angels back inside.. They were performing a joyful, though less than dulcet, duet under the midnight moon. December weather delights them both.
