A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.
Pre-Christmas grooming day for Bob and Sophie. PON's have two coats. A thick, harsh, outer one and a soft, down like, inner one. Perfect protection for Polish winters. The good thing about PON's as a breed is they don't moult , so they don't leave a trail of hair as they career through the house. The bad news is they require a thorough grooming once a week and preferably a daily run through with a brush to get out the tangles, twigs and dried on mud.
Sophie adores being groomed. A chance for her to be the undisputed centre of attention. She can hardly wait to get on the grooming table. Bob, by contrast, views grooming as something to be endured. He comports himself in stoic silence. Within three minutes both look as though they've never seen a brush in their lives. Muddy noses are permanent features on these two little angels.

Kioko, being mostly a poodle/bichon (a "beepoo" or a "MUTToodle" depending upon his behaviour) also does not shed. It is a nice perk. Never had a dog like him before though, and it was a while before I realized that his hair would, apparently, just keep on growing, and growing. He was 25% puppy, 75% fluff when we finally got him trimmed!
We've always got stuff in our fur...except when we drop it inside.
A slight repositioning in the first photo--and you would have had a great PON reindeer.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Best of luck with keeping Bob and Sophie well spruced. So far, Bertie's preparations for Christmas in Nottingham have involved a roll in claggy mud beside a sewage farm, followed by a run across water saturated ground near the river Trent. The perfect grooming routing when staying with HGY and visiting HGD in the nursing home...
Cheers! Gail.
Groomed or not groomed, they're the sweetest dearest cutest PON's that I know.
I brush my boy Brownie every day....against the lay of the coat first and then a thorough brushing with his hair laying flat until it shines.
Love the Joseph Campbell quote today.
I didn't know that PON's don't moult/shed. Charlie's coat is similar to Bob and Sophie, he's the first dog I've had that didn't leave a trail of hair everywhere--As for the Goldens, I don't know how they have any hair left on them at all.
But, those muddy noses do look very cute and a muddy dog is a happy dog (less so the owner of course !)
They're adorable no matter what their coats or noses look like!
You would think that I am torturing Merlin when I groom him. He truly deserves a doggie Oscar.
Thank goodness they do not shed, given their copious coats. We do have to pick up the odd 'tumbleweed' fluff ball.

They're love the attention of a family Christmas and the family will just adore them groomed or not.
Two happy Pons looking well-brushed, indeed, and as handsome and pretty as usual.
That wonderful coat that does not shed.
Yes, I'm familiar with that.
And so love it, though Edward's outer coat is as downy as his inner one.
