Fast living angels.

First light. The angelic duo are waiting for me outside the bedroom door. To say they are waiting patiently would be stretching a point. Their unfettered zest for life continues to amaze. One day they'll slow down, like their master, but for the time being they're natures reminder that life should only be lived in the fast happy lane.

In the afternoon the fuel delivery man comes. Time, while it's cheap(ish), to fill up the heating tanks for the winter. Put it down to Swedish forethought. Bob tries to chew the fuel line and is banished indoors. Sophie considers the fuel truck to be a work of the devil so she barks at it from the upstairs terrace. Her super loud  ''Be gone Satan's spawn " bark . The fuel truck goes. Sophie settles down content that she's saved her family.

Dogs... are never angels when they try and get you out of bed. I got thrown out of bed by my "sweet angelic dog" this morning. They are angels when they sleep. Great to hear that Sophie is picking up on guarding the house and their peeps. I believe we can hear her bark from here.

Maybe Sophie interpreted the writing on the side of the fuel truck as a noise challenge.

Good to hear both Bob and Sophie are protecting the pack in their own inimitable ways!

Lovely portrait of the rascals.

I know what kind of bark you're talking about -- It's the same one I hear when turtles get into our yard and birds fly low overhead. How could 'we' ever feel safe without that kind of protection?

Swedish forethought at its best...that's why she is the Font and we love her..."everyone cool with that?"
Brownie has a 'Be gone Satan's spawn" bark too....amazing how dogs have different barks for different things, and I practically know all of his barks by now...the monkey bark, the lizard bark, the neighbour next door bark, time for lunch bark, want to go outside bark and of course the Be gone Satan's spawn bark which is reserved for large noisy vehicles and folks who should not enter the property.

Has Sophie been reading John Milton? (Or listening to the news?)

We think they'll keep the Master from slowing down early.

Maybe they can't keep their master from slowing down physically but they can fill his heart with the love, joy and magic that the young carry in theirs.
