A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

His tail wags a lot.
We're cutting across the sunflower fields when the phone rings. Serious men in dark suits from Beijing. Seven thirty in the morning here but mid-afternoon there. I sit down on a tree stump. They probably think I'm in an office in London. Little do they know we're out in the countryside with a Polish Lowland Sheepdog who's entertaining himself by foraging for desicated mice under the oak trees. Bob doesn't bark. He's wise to our little masquerade. His tail wags a lot.
Sophie, who is an inveterate yelper, has thankfully stayed at home to help with the preparation of Turbot poche, sauce hollandaise. She'd have blown my cover.

Just remembering that time when I was at a meeting at BP in Dyce and their operations engineers on Humberside phoned in his report. Suddenly said he had another urgent matter to attend to and rang off. We imagined an emergency on the oil platform under discussion. Rang back a few minutes to explain he was calling from home and had just observed his dog crawl under the garden fence and into the neighbouring field of sheep.
Cheers, Gail.
The right work - life balance.
The perfect way to do business.
Perhaps some of those fellows in Beijing would benefit from the presence of a furry colleague.

The best way to conduct business.
Every office needs a view like that!! Sometimes when I am telephone teaching, I am working with a very purry "little helper" - I wonder if my students can hear the ron-ronning of Bib as she nestles on my lap...
I would love to have Leah at work with me, but then, I know I'd never get any work done and what I did manage to do she would shred !
My husband does the same thing when we're at the stable. He gets away with it til a horse calls out! As long as they don't think he's at the racetrack, he's good.
Bob would never blow your cover...he is very wise....lucky you to be able to conduct business sitting in the outdoors surrounded by sunflowers and a loving PON...could there be any other better way to do business?
I've had to give up on the deception. Clients know they've reached the right place at the sound of the barking dog! Loved the image of you sitting on a tree stump and speaking to serious men in dark suts in Beijing! Your secret is safe with us!
It's always nice to have a canine cohort who sticks to the plan! :)
First picture is nice!
Calls in my early morning a hours never tend to be good. Maybe it's my age but the question "who's dead "comes to mind.
Fine boy, our Bob.
