All corridors from airport terminals to airport hotels are identical. This holds true wherever you are. Can there be only one firm of architects that designs these things ? Is it a way of reassuring jet lagged travellers that they're on familiar territory ?
Angus returns home to be greeted by two enthusiastic PON's. Bob makes it clear that he's been working 24/7 and deserves a long Mano a Mano conversation. Sophie screams .
Will this be the song being played tomorrow morning ?

For Bertie and me, there will be a short extension to our walk this morning, to make an important visit to the Ferryhill Church Hall.
Cheers! Gail.
Bertie will turn heads ! Will he be wearing a Better Together sticker ? I only wish that we, and 750,000 like us, weren't Scots 'vote eunuchs' .
At the polling station we were greeted by a nice lady whose waterproof jacket was decorated with 'No Thanks' stickers. She kindly took care of Bertie, fussing over him big time, and feeding him treats while I went inside to vote.
Cheers! Gail.
PS I am wondering if you intend ever to return to live in Scotland, and whether the results of today's vote would influence that decision at all?
Yes, one day we will return. The head wants to say 'no' but the heart knows that Scots always return home.
That walkway looks up market to the ones SHE usually has to use.
That music made me so sad. I actually cried. To think of all that the two countries have created over the years. My Scots American family from Virginia fought alongside their British friends against evil twice in the last century. The world will be a poorer more dangerous place and dictators will be smiling if America's best friend falls apart. A very sad Sheilagh and Cameron :(
Totally agree on the airport corridors having done my share or running down a few this week.
Looking forward now to running back up them and having that wonderful 'welcome home greeting' from Leah when we get back
I don't play bagpipes (much to the relief of the neighbors) but realize playing that piece would be an immense challenge for even a professional piper to play. Beautiful, yet haunting. News around here in the states is all abuzz about the vote and saying the results won't be in until 5am tomorrow morning after the votes are hand counted. Hand counted? Thought all voting tabulations were done by computers these day.
Voting wouldn't be the same if the ballot boxes didn't have to be put on a ferry and shipped to the mainland !
That lovely song is one my husband and I danced to at our wedding almost 14 years ago, The bagpipes give it a very different feel. Hoping for an epidemic of common sense. xxxxx
Was there ever any reason given for excluding votes of non-resident Scots? Expats can vote in national elections so it seems reasonable to include them in this.
Bob and Sophie barely had any time to miss you.....
Loved the video on Scotland....so beautiful....Scotland will always be a beautiful country no matter what.
