The young sparrows are having flying lessons. A solo leap from the gutters to the Palm in the courtyard. The nervous ones chided into action by their mothers. A trilled ' I'm not going to do it !' '' Oh yes you are ! " dialogue between parents and offspring. At one stage eleven of the young ones enjoying their new found independence amid the palm fronds . The most common place of birds but their thrill for life is Olympian.
One of those quiet days. Too uneventful for a diary but too quietly memorable to go completely unrecorded.

So Bob's decided against the scary look, has he? Just as well, the furry fox does nothing for his fierce image !
The fury fox is remaining remarkably in tact.
You're seeing its 'best' side.
While you and the Pilgrims were enjoying a quiet day, we had Michael Jackson moon-walking on storm clouds in central Virginia--What a contrast! --I'd not seen that story, a reminder of how he was a true force of nature!
One of those quiet days? They seem very few and far between at the ROF.
Sunflowers, sparrows, pilgrims and stuffy-holding guard dogs. Late spring at the ROF.
Quiet apart from the noisy pilgrims!
From what I can see of it, the furry fox isn't looking so very furry of late. The dubious price of success.
Just thinking how wonderful it is to just be able to watch the birds....... So many people just miss those beautiful moments.
We feel badly for Bob. Waiting for someone to notice him with his sorta fury toy. Bailey Bob knows his pain! He spent 12 hours last Saturday, waiting for the AC guys to acknowledge him, which never happened. It was very hard to watch. Finally a neighbor came over at 10:00 pm to say hello, and all was right with his world!
