The unerring ability of dogs to wreak havoc.
Yesterday the builders broke the decking. This ( not surprisingly ) is what happens when you pile tons and tons of old beams and rubble on a few slender wooden planks. This morning they decide to replace the wooden decking with concrete. " It'll last a lifetime " says the fancy builder with the shiny black Mercedes the size of Kansas.
The old decking is removed. The bricks from the barn wall ( the one demolished when the gardener drove the lawn tractor into it ) used as foundations for the concrete. Bob and Sophie spend two happy hours accompanying the morose lads and a chain of brick laden wheelbarrows up and down the garden from the barn. Bob christens all the wheelbarrows.
Late in the afternoon the new cement is poured and the replacement terrace made ready for tiling. Bob and Sophie are kept indoors. Except they aren't. Bob finds an open door and makes a beeline for the new, very wet, cement. He crosses it from right to left. I shout at him. He recrosses it from left to right.
The unerring ability of dogs to wreak havoc.

It's what's called making your mark........ what a pity Bob's paw prints will be lost forever under boring old tiles.....
Is there anything else left for the morose lads to demolish? Seems to me the builder in his fancy Mercedes has them well trained as a wrecking crew. Just hope you're not having to foot the bill for their latest escapades, Angus!
Wreaking havoc. A close contest between the PONs and the various workmen employed at the ROF?
Oh no. His poor paws.
Sounds like Bob's becoming a French workman.....repair something, break something...
But the new patio wouldn't look right without paw prints would it?
High paw five Bob!! Newly poured concrete and expect us to stay away....no way!!!
Your paw prints will be installed as art forever...that's a good thing....Your Bajan Pal Brownie.
Did Bob write his name and date it, too, like all little boys do?
As I scrolled down and saw the beginning of the second picture, for a split second I thought the PONs had climbed the tree that way. Whew, at least it was only wet cement.
Has Bob christened the builder's Kansas-sized Mercedes? He should.
This made me laugh.. That Silly Pon! be sure and leave one of the PawPrints in the concrete.. Can you imagine it being excavated one day!
